Software giant Oracle Corp. (Nasdaq: ORCL) told its user groups Thursday that the planned upgrade of its CRM 11i version will be ready to ship by next month.
Dogged by slow development of its eBusiness Suite 11i software, Oracle had originally intended to release the entire application last fall, but opted instead for a two-stage release. The first release was comprised mainly of ERP applications.
Oracle said more than 900 users and developers have beta-tested the suite and 20 users are currently running pieces of the 11i application through a hosted setup. The company said that those who do not plan to upgrade immediately can fall back on earlier versions of the applications.
